Radiesse injectable filler is one of the most popular wrinkle treatments available today, with well over one million syringes administered worldwide since 2002. Radiesse has a unique composition known as calcium hydroxylapatite – a safe, biocompatible, and durable substance consisting of microspheres suspended in a water-based gel.
Radiesse Treatments
At Advanced Cosmetic Surgery, we use Radiesse to treat the following conditions:
- Nasolabial folds – from the side of the nose to the corner of the mouth
- Marionette lines – extending down from each side of the mouth
- Facial fat loss – loss of volume due to aging or another condition
Cosmetic surgeons have also used Radiesse for several off-label uses such as nasal augmentation, cheek augmentation, and correction of depressed scars.
Radiesse Procedures
During treatment with Radiesse, we use a fine needle to inject the filler into the subdermal plane of specific areas. A topical anesthetic or ice pack may be used to minimize pain. After injection, the site is gently massaged to help ensure a smooth result.
After Radiesse
Results are immediate and last approximately 10-14 months. There is no downtime necessary, so you can get right back to your normal routine. Although Radiesse is well tolerated by most patients, some have experienced minor issues like redness, swelling, itching, and bruising.
