"Like so many, I struggled with weight all my life. I rode the diet roller coaster for years only to continuously gain more weight than I would loose. At the age of 28, I had roller coasted my way to 272 pounds. I was trapped… Like a prisoner inside my own body. I had almost given up hope of being able to live my life without stares and mocking at every turn.
Then one day a friend suggested I look into bariatric surgery and it changed my life. For months I read every article I could get my hands on and picked everyone’s brain I could find who had had weight loss surgery. I finally decided the Lap Band procedure was the one for me, and I began my transformation in June of 2008. I have since lost 113 pounds and couldn’t be happier with my life. It was the best decision I ever made.

"I've been in the health care field my entire career. I have worked in every capacity from receptionist all the way up to director. Drawing from these first-hand experiences, I have been able to develop and implement strategies to improve the patient's experience while improving processes. I believe that every interaction the patient has with our office should be a positive one and I will strive to achieve that.
In my position as practice administrator with Dr. Frenzel, I have been able to marry my past professional experience with my own personal experience of weight loss surgery and the reconstructive surgery that followed. My personal experience has given me a unique passion for my work. I am able to empathize and encourage patients both pre-operatively and post-operatively while helping to build a solid practice.

"Daphne has worked in the healthcare field since 1999. She began handling the front and back end process for bariatric patients in 2007. She loves the challenge of advocating for the benefit of our patients and has thousands of surgery approvals to her record. She is also a Gastric Bypass patient since 2007; she has lost 100 pounds and has been able to maintain her weight for the past four years. She is also a proud wife and mother."

"Born and raised in the DFW area, I graduated from Grand Prairie High School and attended Arlington Baptist College. I have two wonderful children; my daughter Kobi and my son Devin. After a lengthy career with IBM Corporation, I went back to school and graduated from Fortis Institute 2011. I am excited to pursue my career as NRCMA with Dr.Frenzel and the team here at Advanced Surgery."

Hello All,
I'm Tami Holden, I am a Medical Assistant to Dr. Frenzel.
A little bit about myself. I am a transplant from Arkansas to which I've lived all my life. I've been in Texas for 2 1/2 years now. I have a son who is on his own and still lives in Arkansas and I have 2 step daughters here in Texas.
I have an Associates Degree as a Radiology Technician and an Associates Degree in Medical Transcription. I have worked as a Radiology Tech and a Medical Assistant for 9 years now. I enjoy what I do. My goal is to make everyone feel welcome and give the best care to my patients.
I've known Dr. Frenzel for almost 2 years now. Before I started working with Dr. C, he was my husbands and I surgeon. My husband had a bariatric sleeve in September, 2010 and I had a bariatric sleeve in November, 2010. We are both doing fine and we have never once regreted haveing the surgery done. At this point after surgery, we feel like it's been a way of life for us all along.
My hobbies consist of anything outdoors ie: Hunting, Fishing, sports and alot more. I am a country girl and a big Tom Boy. My husband and I enjoy riding motorcycles, yes, I am a Harley Girl. And last but not least, these 2 are the loves of my life (besides my husband) Harley, she's a white/light brown Chihuahua and Rat Terrior mix and Jake a black and white Rat Terrior mix. These babies you just don't mess with.
